Electric Curing Oven Applications

An industrial oven uses electrically generated heat to treat a product in a specific manner. The oven is used for baking, drying parts, curing, and in other processes. There are different types of industrial ovens which use heat in different ways. The application fo heat differentiates the oven and also decides their eventual purpose. The oven can also be differentiated in the way a product is moved in the oven as it effects the heating and the efficiency. One of the commonly used oven is electric curing oven.

An electric curing oven uses heat to induce certain chemical changes in the product. It also improves its strength and durability. The process is usually used for curing a product, its coating or adhesive. Chemical curing is enhancescertain properties of construction materials which we need on site, especially thermosetting. The curing apparatus, which works like an oven,is used to enhance thermosetting on site.

Curing in painting process

Curing is usually the final step in the painting process. A product is given the curing oven treatment after the paint is applied. The oven will increase the mass of the product along with bringing the temperature in the compartment up to a certain temperature and holding it there for some time. The temperature is needed to ensure that the desired chemical reaction takes place. The amount of time we can hold the temperature also affects the process. It is usually 25 to 30 minutes.

There are some other considerations we have to keep in mind, such as the presence of liquids or volatile materials. Electric curing oven suppliers will equip the oven with an exhaust if volatile materials are involved. However, the exhaust also affects the curing process. This must be accommodated when we calculate the temperature and duration.

Curing in plastics

Curing is used extensively in the plastics industry. It is very useful in building complex polymer chains. It is also applicable across a very broad range in molecule monomers. As a result we can use it to make a vast grade of polymers and plastics, across different functional and chemical groups. It is used in some of the most commonly found plastics in the industrial sector. Curing is very effective in creating strong bonds between the monomers, giving us a very high quality plastic. Some of the common plastics found through this process are PVC, polypropylene and polyethylene.
